About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Property Specialist to join our Property team at Craigs Investment Partners (CIP), based in Tauranga on a permanent full time basis.

The property team is responsible for new builds, fit-outs, office reconfigurations and a multitude of property and supports tasks across 19 locations in New Zealand. Our team is an integral part of the company as we strive to provide confidential and comfortable workspaces that enable our advisors in helping our clients secure their financial future. To do this you will need to understand the vision of our internal stakeholders and interpret those to our strategic partners to enable the design, scope, plan, construct/reconfigure of our locations to provide amazing workspace that support our company in its strategic plan. 

Reporting to the Property Manager, this role is an addition to the current team to address a programme of planned projects. The key responsibilities for this position are: 

  • Plan and manage new builds and refurbishments within the required timeline, scope and to the approved budget. 
  • Effectively manage stakeholders, work with General Managers, branch teams, IT, Marketing and People and Performance to drive a collaborative approach and deliver to requirements.
  • Monitor and provide progress reports to the Property Manager, Head of Advisory and General Managers and Property Committee, maintain and complete financial tracking to budget and ensure alignment with WIP. 
  • Working with our strategic partners the incumbent must establish and strengthen good relationships with all third parties. 

 About you

You will play a key role in leading, owning, and driving our property portfolio, so you will need to possess the following experience and attributes:

  • Experience working with property planning or fit-outs either as project lead or similar level as you will be responsible for ensuring every aspect of these projects to planned deadlines
  • A proven track record with managing all aspects of projects, including scope, programme, budgets, risk and change management.
  • Pro-active communication is vital to this position, so you will need strong communication skills (verbal and written), and be able to present, influence whilst conducting yourself in line with the CIP values.
  • Detail oriented is a must, as is maintaining high levels of confidentiality.
