A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our Christchurch branch for an ambitious person looking to progress their career in the financial services industry.  

About the role:

Working alongside two of our highly successful Senior Investment Advisers as well as a newly promoted Junior Investment Adviser, the role of the Private Wealth Associate entails:

• Supporting the business growth of our Investment Advisers
• Reviewing and analysing existing client portfolios
• Daily portfolio monitoring and actions
• Assisting with preparation of client proposals and recommendations
• Preparing client reports
• Co-ordinating the client review process on behalf of the Advisers
• Client profiling and Investment Policy Statement production
• Processing order transactions from Advisers and order monitoring
• Collating research and other client communications

Client relationship building and networking is also a component of this role and as such, you will assist with arranging and supporting the Advisers at functions and client networking events. 

About you:

Ideally the successful candidate will be disciplined and keen to make their mark working for a highly successful firm. As such, you will have the following attributes:

• A tertiary degree in either Finance, Commerce, Business or a related field
• At least three years’ experience in a financial services environment or equivalent
• A sound understanding of market terminology and knowledge of industry regulation
• An aptitude for complex IT systems and an excellent knowledge of MS Office products as well as Microsoft Dynamics CRM 
• Well-developed data analysis experience with strong numerical skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English
• Self-motivated and able to manage time and multi-task with the ability to handle deadlines and workload pressures
• The ability to learn new skills quickly and embrace new technology and systems.
