An opportunity exists for a Research Analyst to join our highly regarded Private Wealth Research team. This team is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s investment strategy and research offering for our private clients. 

The role focuses on New Zealand and Australian equities, while also contributing to broader asset allocation and strategy. The successful candidate will follow a wide range of companies and sectors across Australasia, assist with model portfolios, provide investment ideas, and evaluate IPOs and corporate opportunities.

Research is a crucial part of our business, and this is a key position within the firm that has a high level of influence on the composition of client portfolios. It requires impeccable communication skills, a passion for financial markets and deep analytical ability. 

The role will suit an experienced finance professional that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, in a high-performing and cohesive team, at a growing company. They will be confident, assertive and willing to make important decisions under time constraints.

The role is based at our head office in Tauranga. 

Those interested in the role of Research Analyst should:

  • Have at least three years’ experience within financial services 
  • Possess proven investment analysis skills
  • Be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Be familiar with the New Zealand and/or Australian equity markets
  • Display a track record of success in previous roles
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail

  • Be able to distil complex ideas for a wide audience
