About the role

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for an ambitious person looking to progress their career in the financial services industry. This role can progress into an Investment Adviser in the future for the right candidate therefore a person who has financial knowledge, can build networks and be focused on building a book of clients and wealth management is key!

Working alongside and supporting a team of highly successful Investment Advisers, the role of a Private Wealth Associate entails:

  • Supporting the business growth of our experienced Investment Advisers
  • Reviewing and analysing existing client portfolios
  • Daily portfolio monitoring and actions
  • Assisting with preparation of client proposals and recommendations
  • Preparing client reports
  • Co-ordinating the client review process on behalf of the Advisers
  • Client profiling and Investment Policy Statement production
  • Processing order transactions from Advisers and order monitoring
  • Collating research and other client communications

Client relationship building and networking is also a component of this role and as such, you will assist with arranging and supporting the Advisers at functions and client networking events.  

About you

Ideally the successful candidate will be disciplined and keen to make their mark working for a highly successful firm. As such, you will have the following attributes:

  • Hold a tertiary degree in either Finance, Commerce, Business or a related field
  • Be a qualified Financial Adviser (Level 5 desirable), or studying towards;
  • At least three years’ experience in a financial services environment or equivalent
  • Have strong networking skills or a network of potential clients or can build relationships over time
  • Analytical skills to identify sectors or localities where prospective clients can be accessed
  • A sound understanding of market terminology and knowledge of industry regulation
  • An aptitude for complex IT systems and an excellent knowledge of MS Office products as well as Microsoft Dynamics CRM 
  • Well-developed data analysis experience with strong numerical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English
  • Self-motivated and able to manage time and multi-task with the ability to handle deadlines and workload pressures
  • The ability to learn new skills quickly and embrace new technology and systems. 

Although holding a Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services would be desirable, we are open to receiving applications from candidates who are working in a related field and who may not currently possess a relevant qualification and/or Level 5 Financial Services Certificate.
