A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our Tauranga based Head Office for an experienced and motivated Systems Engineer. This is a permanent full-time opportunity commencing asap!

Become part of a professional ITS team whose goal is to ensure that CIP employees have the correct systems up and running to meet their business objectives. Reporting to the Technology Operations Manager, you will be part a dedicated Infrastructure and Service Delivery Team, responsible for delivering ICT services to 550+ users.

The key focus of this role is to support and administer the ICT services required by the business across all levels, manage third party Vendors to deliver best practice service to its customers and achieve the requirements of the ITS SLA with the Business. ICT services encompass an infrastructure inclusive of Virtual and physical Desktops and Servers, Cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, Bespoke and Standard Applications, Network and Telecommunications areas. The roles responsibilities include the implementation, configuration, control, maintenance, troubleshooting and resolution of these infrastructure areas to ensure maximum availability of ICT services to the business users in alignment with the IT SLA with the business.

The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary or equivalent professional IT qualification and must be able to demonstrate the following: 

  • 3 years+ Service Desk or ITS support experience
  • Technical expertise in the following areas: 
  • Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
  • Cloud services, e.g. Office365, MS365, Azure AD, SharePoint, Intune, Teams
  • Experience with Virtualisation platforms (VMware preferred)
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Desktop and Laptop deployment & support using deployment tools (SCCM/Intune)
  • MS Exchange (2016, Online)
  • Experience and understanding of Windows OS on both servers and desktops
  • Active Directory and related IDAM concepts
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong procedure and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, staff, managers, partners and suppliers
  • Professional and flexible approach

This is a position suiting someone with initiative and a proactive approach. A background in the financial sector and an understanding of financial business applications from a customer's perspective will be highly regarded.
