Craigs Investment Partners (CIP) is a multi-award winning investment advisory firm which is one of the largest in New Zealand. With over 570 employees located at 19 offices throughout the country, CIP offers solutions and advice to both private investors, corporate and institutional clients.

Based in our central Auckland office, the role of the Quality of Advice team at CIP is to assist our Investment Advisers provide the highest possible standard of service to our clients. 

We are currently looking for a Head of Quality of Advice to lead this team and to provide Quality of Advice expertise to Advisers and Management.

This will be a busy role with a focus on supporting the Quality of Advice team to help and train Advisers with the advice process and complex investment issues. Team leadership and development will be a key component of this position. The role will also involve directly providing advice and guidance to Advisers, as needed.

The ideal candidate would possess the following: 

  • Relevant qualification in finance, commerce or business 
  • At least ten years’ experience in the financial services industry (with a focus on portfolio construction, investment management and financial advice)
  • Financial Planning Diploma or New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services and NZX Diploma are desirable but not essential
  • Extensive knowledge of the investment advice process, NZ regulation of advice, markets and portfolio investing
  • Previous experience in regulatory risk management in the financial services industry
  • A solid understanding of best practice financial advice and quality standards
  • An ability to deliver results in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
  • A collaborative approach to working with a range of stakeholders at a senior level
