About the role

As part of our strategic vision, we are undergoing a comprehensive technology transformation journey. We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Programme Management Office to join our Digital Business team at Craigs Investment Partners (CIP). This is a permanent full-time role which can be located in either Tauranga, Auckland or Hamilton.

This role will own the enterprise project delivery framework, ensuring projects and programmes are delivered on time, on budget, on scope. Providing governance, reporting and assurance to executives and the board. Lifting organisational project maturity and capability, acting as a “single source of truth” for portfolio performance. 

The key responsibilities for the Head of Programme Management Office role will be to:

  • Own the enterprise project delivery framework, ensuring projects and programmes are delivered on time, on budget and on scope
  • Providing governance, reporting and assurance to executives and the board
  • Lifting organisational project maturity and capability, acting as a 'single source of truth" for portfolio performance
  • Managing stakeholders including the CDO, executive leaders, department heads and other relevant parties to ensure alignment, manage expectations and secure buy in for the technology transformation initiative
  • Leadership of the Programme Management function, creating a high-performance culture in the PMO and building strong, durable relationships with business owners and external stakeholders

About you

You will be a strong leader with a track record of managing and delivering enterprise-wide programmes of work. You will have extensive experience leading and delivering large scale technology transformation initiatives within complex organisations, preferably in the financial services or wealth management industry.  You must be able to adapt to the changing demands of the role, working across multiple stakeholders with strong influencing, stakeholder and relationship management skills with sound judgement, initaitive and accountability.

You will also have:

  • Strong understanding of programme management methodologies, coordination of work streams, dependency and critical path management, and enterprise architecture principles. 
  • A passion for execution, bringing positive energy and drive to projects  
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups including, key business partners, enterprise architects, product owners, project sponsors, external vendors, third party providers and executive. 
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and coordination skills, with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams, as well as across multiple locations.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a proven ability to plan and prioritise workloads to deliver results
  • Experience working with the business to deliver key strategic initiatives and business needs. Considerations for Data, AI elements, IT Ops, etc are important with architecture considerations. 
  • Experience in implementing change management strategies to facilitate user adoption and minimise resistance to new technologies, processes and systems.
  • Strong industry knowledge of Financial Services is an advantage but not essential.
