The Enterprise Architect role is located within the Digital Business Team, and the primary focus is to develop, own and maintain the enterprise architecture across the business, information, application and technology domains, ensuring technology investment aligns with CIP’s strategic objectives and Target Operating Model.  This is a full-time permanent role, based at our Tauranga office.

Reporting to the Head of Digital, Data and AI role, the Enterprise Architect will be primarily responsible for: 

  • Maintaining the enterprise architecture roadmaps and blueprints within the appropriate documentation systems
  • Operating across the full technology landscape rather than within any single project or programme.
  • Maintaining an awareness of technology advances and in particular AI to ensure decisions are well informed as regard the direction and capability of new technology.
  • Defining architectural principles, standards and reference architectures, governs their adoption across the organisation
  • Providing solution design assurance and governance as required.
  • Supporting the technology evaluation and selection to support a coherent, rationalised technology landscape.

About you 

This role will suit an experienced Enterprise Architect with 8+ years' experience, including demonstrated enterprise architecture experience within a similar sized organisation as well as have:

  • Strategic thinking, innovative, leadership, builds relationships, technologist
  • Strong experience in the whole SDLC with specific exposure to Agile methods.
  • Recent experience of Machine Learning and Generative AI technology would be favourable.
  • Commercial / business acumen 
  • Strong influencing and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A proven ability to define and govern enterprise-wide architecture and roadmaps, to deliver results.
