About the role
Craigs Investment Partners (CIP) are looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to join our talented and driven Technology team, tasked with providing the Technology to help secure this leading Investment Advisory’s position as number 1 in New Zealand for years to come. Part of our growing Data Team and reporting to the Data Architect, this role is offering full-time hours with flexible work options.
The Database Administrator role is primarily tasked with supporting CIP projects and business operations by providing database administration, data integration, data migrations and data security expertise. The role will partner with business stakeholders and project teams to ensure accurate and efficient outcomes are delivered within required timelines. The Database Administrator will actively assist in the day-to-day maintenance and development of databases and data-related processes around CIP and work with the BI and wider Data team to ensure optimum performance of critical services.
Data is key to CIP’s business and our success. As well as involvement in an exciting enterprise transformation programme of work, a core deliverable will be to drive a migration to cloud hosted / cloud first Database environment, leading the business in the adoption of cutting-edge technology in this area to optimise database services to the business.
Due to the nature of this role, a strong focus on delivery is required. The ability to communicate effectively and to work collaboratively with both multiple teams and independently is also essential.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for candidates with relevant IT qualifications or equivalent work experience, who are able to demonstrate technical expertise and demonstrate the following:
This is a position suiting someone with a proactive attitude and continuous improvement mindset. A background in the financial sector and an understanding of financial business applications from a customer's perspective will be highly regarded.
