A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our Tauranga based Head Office for an experienced and motivated Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. This is a permanent full-time opportunity commencing ASAP!

Become part of a busy professional team whose goal it is to ensure that CIP employees have the correct systems and technology performance to meet the business’s needs. Reporting to the Technology Operations Manager, you will be part a dedicated Infrastructure and Service Delivery Team, delivering ICT services to 570+ users.

The key focus of this role within the Infrastructure and Service Delivery Team is to support and administer the ICT services required by the business across all levels, with a focus of Cloud services to the business and achieve the requirements of the ITS SLA with the Business. ICT services encompass an infrastructure inclusive of Virtual and physical Desktops and Servers, Cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, Bespoke and Standard Applications, Network and Telecommunications areas. The roles responsibilities include the implementation, configuration, control, maintenance, troubleshooting and resolution of these infrastructure areas to ensure maximum availability of ICT services to the business users in alignment with the IT SLA with the business.

The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary or equivalent professional IT qualification and must be able to demonstrate technical expertise in the following areas: 

  • Designing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining Cloud services, e.g. Azure, Office365, MS365, Azure AD, SharePoint, Intune, Teams and other Vendor IaaS/PaaS/SaaS services
  • Architecture and delivery of solutions with MS Azure across security, virtualisation, migration, and automation
  • Experience with Hyperconverged technology, Virtualisation and networking (VMware preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Management and maintenance of configuration tools and images, including patch deployment and image updates utilising SCCM/Intune or similar
  • Experience and in depth understanding of Windows OS on both servers and desktops
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong procedure and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, staff, managers, partners and suppliers
  • Professional and flexible approach

This is a position suiting someone with initiative and a proactive attitude. A background in the financial sector and an understanding of financial business applications from a customer's perspective will be highly regarded.
